Green Deal Webinar - Area 11 : Accelerating Demonstration of Clean Energy Solutions in Africa

A presentation of the Green Deal Call Topic related to Area 11: Accelerating the Green Transition and Energy Access Partnership with Africa.

Innovation is key to enable African countries to pursue sustainable development pathways. This topic aims to leapfrog this transition via demonstration projects and coordination and support actions contributing to the Research and Innovation Partnership on Climate Change and Sustainable Energy between the European Union and African Union.

Experience has shown that existing innovative solutions developed in the EU need to be adapted, tailored and demonstrated to the Africa context in order to bring economic, environmental and health benefits. Research and innovation policies need to be coupled with capacity building and appropriate financing solutions.
