About the Event

The Singapore-Israel Foundation (SIIRD) is a joint fund of Enterprise Singapore and the Israel Innovation Authority that aims to promote, encourage, and support technological collaborations between companies and research institutes from both countries, Israeli and Singapore.
In line with current challenges in the Israeli and Singaporean ecosystems, SIIRD is launching a new call for proposals as part of its strategic program. This year, SIIRD chose to focus on the areas of Agri-Food (alternative proteins) and the field of Agri-Tech.
The program invites companies and research institutions to offer ground-breaking projects that have created a significant impact on these areas.

SIIRD holding a launch event for this new call. The event will feature the new program and guidelines for submission, experts will present past-present-future, needs and opportunities in this fields. The event also present an opportunity for stakeholders' awareness, creating collaborations for the benefit of submissions and exposure to these fields.

We live in a challenging reality that requires constant change, as a result of increasing scarcity of usable land, lack of water and other natural resources, as well as other challenges related to urbanization processes, demographic growth and climate change. The challenges faced by professionals of all kinds, from multinational companies to farmers at the edge, are the same: "do more with less".
Israel is a pioneer in producing "wilderness agricultural" solutions thanks to its small size and lack of agricultural and natural resources. This is exactly what made it the ideal place to learn and adopt new Agri-Food ideas and technologies that will help overcome these challenges in the coming decades. Israel is positioned as a leader in agricultural technological innovation, with hundreds of companies, researchers and groundbreaking technologies.

NOTE: Participation is subjected to an approval via return e-mail, which will be sent closer to the date of the event.
