Access to Risk Finance
What is Access to Risk Finance ('InnovFin')?
The European work program of Access to Risk Finance (2018-2020) helps companies and other types of organizations engaged in research and innovation to gain easier access to debt and equity finance. Thus the 'InnovFin' product range consists of a suite of financial instruments and accompanying measures.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Investment Fund (EIF) are the entrusted entities that implement the financial instruments, on behalf of and in partnership with the European Commission.
Many of the debt and equity facilities are run in a demand-driven manner, and are directed at financial intermediaries from different types (such as banks, funds, other lenders and risk-capital funds). Some of the tools are straightly directed to R&I driven companies and other such entities (usually in relatively large-scale deals).
