Horizon Europe aims at including the SSH as thematic programme on one hand and as a cross-cutting issue embedded into each pillar and objective of Horizon Europe, on the other hand.

The idea is to fully integrate the STEAM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) disciplines together with the SSH tackling the complex societal issues of European societies.

The Socio-economic sciences, the Humanities and the Arts include a wide range of disciplines, encompassing sociology and economics, psychology and political science, history and cultural sciences, law and ethics and the arts.

In variety of themes under the European Framework Programme, there are various opportunities for the Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts communities.

At the webinar, these opportunities will be presented, with special emphasis on calls and topics, under the six thematic programmes in pillar “Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness”, as well as short introduction to opportunities in programmes under pillar 1 “Excellent Science” (ERC, MSCA).
